| The Pawn
Inhabiting the iconic Woo Cheong Pawn Shop building and its adjacent tenement houses, The Pawn is designed to bring new life to the historic space. It’s a bar, restaurant and roof garden all in one, and it’s a place you discover, explore and embrace.
Historic Space Revitalised
Spanning in excess of 14,000 square foot over 3 storeys, The Pawn is designed by veteran homegrown artist and film director Stanley Wong, better known as anothermountainman in the local art scene. “The concept is to preserve the address’ historic integrity while bringing new life to the space,” explains Wong, “and we want to create an adult playground that integrates eat, drink and play.”
Eat, Drink and Play
The classy public house-cum-dining room sorts itself into 3 different areas. On the first floor situated The Living Room, a lounge and bar offering a simplified food menu, bespoke drinks made to order by The Pawn’s innovative mixologists and carefully curated selection of draft beers, ales, wines and even single-malt whiskies — it does make a great chill out spot.
Up one floor is The Dining Room, a gourmet restaurant that spells simplicity and informality. With Executive Chef David Tamlyn from London working magic in the kitchen, prepare to be amazed at the delightful modern British fare it has to offer.
For those who prefer to chill out in the open air, The Roof Garden on the third floor will be the perfect place to be. Commanding the spectacular view of bustling Wanchai and Admiralty, the bar in the semi-covered roof garden offers custom-made cocktails and private party catering.
If you are after a place where there’s always something new to encounter, then The Pawn is your answer.
